The Christmas season is upon us once again. This is the fifth consecutive year of our holiday giving campaign, where instead of mailing out expensive Christmas cards, we have made a donation to a disability-related charity. This year, we are proud to have chosen the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. Click here to learn more about how to help us reach our goal of donating $3000 to the Reeve Foundation this holiday season. <—we are about 2/3 the way there, but you can help!
Before we started going digital with our holiday greeting, we spent time making creative mailers that were more than your standard “out-of-the box” Christmas card. Here is a stroll down our holiday card memory lane:
-The Fold-in Holiday Mailer (2004): To show how our company had grown over the course of 15 years, we did a fold-in style greeting. The greeting had our six key employees who were around when the company was young on the front, and our company at the present time in the inside (see below).
-The EasyStand-Up Christmas Tree (2003): With our managers decorating the tree and each of our employees faces as decorations, the perforated tree stood up to display (see below). Who doesn’t want to have their very own Christmas tree made of card stock on their desk?
-The Snow Globe Postcard (2002): Since we are from Minnesota, we are accustomed to lots of snow. We tried to convince our customers that if they shook our “Altimate Snow Globe” postcard rapidly, and imagined they were in chilly Morton, MN, they could actually create a blizzard effect on their desk. It really works!
-The “Altimate” Holiday Ornament (2001): The first in our series of creative holiday greetings was a photo of our employees in the front, and instructions on how to make a Christmas tree ornament for your office on the back. Everyone has a hole puncher and a paper clip right? And no worries if you didn’t have a Christmas tree, any office plant would work to create the desired effect.

A couple of our fun printed holiday cards: the EasyStand-Up Christmas tree and fold-in company picture were two examples.
Looking back on these holiday cards was fun. We have come a long way and there are a lot of our employees, past and present, who have helped get us to where we are today.
