Safe-ty -noun, plural
1. the state of being safe; freedom from the occurrence of risk, danger, or loss.
This is how the dictionary describes safety. But what does safety mean to you? It may mean telling your child to fasten their seat belt, or finding rehab equipment that make you feel secure, or having a safe home for your family. Here at Altimate Medical, safety means keeping our employees safe through education and safe working conditions, and providing safe products to our customers.

These goals are accomplished through the efforts and hard work of our Safety Committee. They hold monthly meetings, provide safety training, and perform a monthly walk through of the company to ensure that everything is up to code. Their efforts have not gone unrewarded. Altimate Medical has been accident free since July of 2007 and was recently awarded the 2009 MNSHARPS Award and the Meritorious Achievement Award for superior performance in workplace safety and health. Steve Schmidt, Safety Coordinator, comments, “Receiving the MNSHARPS Award symbolizes our company’s dedication to safety. I think I speak for the entire Safety Committee when I say, it is an honor to be a part of this program!” Since 1998, Altimate Medical has earned a total of ten safety awards through the MNSHARPS program!
What does safety mean to you? What are some things that you do to ensure your safety or the safety of your clients during rehab?

Way to go guys. This is an awesome achievement, especially when it is year after year!
