I am excited to announce today, on Earth Day, that Altimate Medical is taking another leap forward. We made the decision to cease printing of our 100+ page Funding Guide to Standing Technology and opt for a more comprehensive, online version. We know how important it is to provide our customers with the guidance and tools necessary to get the equipment they need, so we re-evaluated the resources that we were providing and added more.
The result is more funding information online on easystand.com/funding, including:
- Steps to getting a standing frame
- Understanding the “Team” process
- Checklist for writing a successful letter of medical necessity
- Research studies on standing (100+ abstracts)
- Links to articles on standing equipment/benefits of standing from industry magazines
- How to appeal if you are denied
- Utilizing the PAAT & AT Project Directories
- HCPCS coding for standing technology
- FAQ’s on funding for standing frames
Keeping this information online instead of print allows us to provide the most up to date information, without the filler that you may not need. The other advantage, is that we are producing less paper waste. We will have a super-condensed printed Funding Guide (8 pages down from 100+) that directs consumers, clinicians, and suppliers to the online funding resources they are looking for. This condensed Funding Guide is still in the works, but will be more concise and straight-forward. Shortcut URL’s will direct our customers to our website to find exactly the funding information they need.
Our goal continues to be to help people with disabilities get the standing frames they deserve through guidance and education. Now we are happy to take another step towards protecting Mother Earth while we do it. Happy Earth Day!

What do you think of our new approach to the Funding Guide for Standing Technology? Are you able to find all the funding help you need on easystand.com/funding? Let us know how we can improve!

I am proud to be part of a company who is concerned about the environment and makes changes, big or small, to become more “green.”
